Description of Artifact: This artifact is the administered standardized tests for kindergarten to students with varying levels of academic exposure and learning abilities. The DIAL -4 assesses three areas as follows: Motor: Catching, jumping, hopping, skipping, building, thumb and finger motor skills, cutting, copying and name writing. I was placed to assess student's fine motor skills using the dial -4 assessment where the students were assessed on hopping, jumping, skipping, throwing and building with blocks. Concepts: naming of body parts, colors, color naming, counting, positions, concept of size (big/little), and shapes Language: Personal information: dob etc, objects and actions, letters and sounds, rhyming and I spy, problem solving. For my artifact, I had to follow the screening instructions by being a thoughtful listener and observer when administering the test and scoring students on their fine motor skills.
Rationale: This artifact symbolizes my understanding of the standard because I accommodate for the Dial assessments by re-reading or explaining directions when administering the assessment as needed.
